JAPA skidding
grapple is an efficient tool for the hauling of short wood or whole
trees, either for firewood, pulp or saw logs. The grapple is attached
to the 3-point hitch and the cylinder is connected to a double-acting
hydraulic connection. If the optional swinging cylinder is used,
an additional double-acting connection with a floating position
is needed.
Short wood can be transported with the 3-point hitch lifted up if
the tractor's front end is heavy enough. The grapple should be locked
to the straight position either with the mechanical lock or the
optional swinging cylinder.
When saw logs or whole trees are hauled, the swing lock is kept
open or the optional swinging cylinder must be engaged in a floating
position.
