Another successful Open Day

Richard Slatem, Fuelwood's Managing Director, was delighted with the positive response from everyone who attended the event.

It is really appreciated when customers say thanks for putting on an excellent display, with various working demonstrations. The Fuelwood team would also like to thank Stan Howes (& Roseanne) for allowing the use of their superb location and for their help in running the event.

During the weekend refreshments were made available with voluntary donations for charity. We are pleased to advise that all monies kindly received have now been donated to the British Heart Foundation, a big thank to everyone for their donations.

The lucky winner of the free prize draw was Mr Pete Ashcroft of Malvern, a bottle of 10 year old Malt Wisky is on its way to him.

Overall the weather did not dampen our spirits and it was a very successful weekend with lots of business, with the new Transaw 350 semi-automatic firewood machine being the centre of attention.

Open days provide a better forum for demonstrasting our range of machinery and will be repeated in the future.

New office

At long last we have just moved into our new Office.

The building is one in a wide range from a Finnish company and has been customised to suit our needs.

Delivered as a kit in log and plank form, floor, walls , roof, doors, and windows, complete with double glazing, fittings etc, all numbered and supplied with a good instruction manual. The timber is as to be expected from fine Finnish quality.

Fuelwoods office will be heated, along with the workshops, by a Heizomat wood chip heating system.

Hot from the press, we are pleased to announce that we have been successful in receiving a Low Carbon Building Programme Grant for the heating system and installation can soon take place.

Fuelwood is situated in 14 hectares of woodland which not only provides an excellent base for their Forestry machinery but will now form the energy supply. Chipping carried out using a Heizohack chipper.

Fuelwood will shortly announce an opportunity to view their new facilities and products.
