The heart of the chipper is the conical screw blade.
The LAIMET HP-21 chipper functions like the other LAIMET HP chippers using a conical screw blade, which efficiently produces splinter free even quality chips. The rotating screw blade also functions as a feed unit so that a separate feed is unnecessary.

The LAIMET HP-21 is a tractor or diesel powered chipper of remarkably simple construction. It has few parts that wear. It is reliable in operation and needs little maintenance. The heavy fly-wheel evens out the load on the motor used.

Blades changeable tor different size chips
The LAIMET HP-21 can produce five different sizes of chips; from 15 - 25 mm up to 60- 100 mm. The rate of production is from 20 to 40 m³/h, depending on the blade used, wood 'to be used, the type and size of wood.

Chips from all sorts of wood
The Laimet HP-21 chipper can chip all sorts of clean wood: coniferous and deciduous, thinned out wood, tree tops, pruned and unpruned saplings, blocks, sawn surfaces and also frozen wood. The HP-21 can chip up to 170 mm size wood and branches. Operational noise is comparatively quiet, but it is a good idea to use ear protectors because of noise from the motor.

Maintenance of the chipper
Sharpening of the screw blade may be done without removing the blade using a separate sharpener unit,which is standard equipment. Basic reconditioning of the blade is done by rewelding the hard facing and then grinding it to the correct angle. Removal of the blade is done using a crane. Welding and grinding may be done by a skilled metal worker using the manufacturer's instructions. The blade may also be sent to the manufacturer for reconditioning from whom ready to use exchange blades are also available.

Waste wood into money and protect nature
The LAIMET HP-21 is a sensible chipper choice. The even quality chips are suitable for use: in heating, as pulp chips, in covering cultivated land and fields, as compost, and animal litter. The low service costs of the LAIMET HP-21 chipper give real savings.
