TOPSAW: The TOPSAW upper blade unit is available as an additional accessory for LAIMET log circular saws. The TOPSAW unit makes it possible to saw up to 800 mm diameter logs. In the portable circular sawmills, the TOPSAW blade is driven by a hydraulic motor, whereas it is driven by electric power in the sawmills operated by electric motors.

The main blade moves aside automatically when the TOPSAW comes into play, and resets itself when the TOPSAW is at rest in the upper position. The upper blade is right behind the main blade to keep the cutting lines meeting smoothly even with hard-to-saw trees.
In saws equipped with the TOPSAW upper blade, a smaller, less expensive, and more easily sharpened basic blade may be used. The upper blade may be used safely and effortlessly for instance when opening up the base of a log.

DIGITAL MEASUREMENT UNIT: A digital measurement unit is available as an additional accessory for LAIMET log circular saws. With the DIGIMATIC measurement unit, extremely good precision is obtained for sawn goods. The DIGIMATIC unit is pre-programmed with 80 different standard measurements. In addition to these, the unit can be programmed with 15 special measurements by the user.
The DIGIMATIC has been tested in all kinds of different weather conditions. As an additional accessory to the DIGIMATIC, LAIMET offers a block direction automation device placing - with the assistance of a hydraulic log direction device - the log to be sawn on the correct sawing line.
