Founded in 1982 by Robert Bloos, who is still involved today with the development and production of energy systems.

Thanks to the innovative ideas and the patents, which have resulted from them, innumerable firms, farmers and private households are today in the position to cover their energy requirements with renewable raw materials and this so simply and efficiently as with customary fossil energy sources.

The production area, which has grown in Maicha from 1982 from about 10 sqm to currently about 15,000 sqm, is exclusively heated with biomass.

After the acquisition of the former Hahnenkamm barracks in 2005, HEIZOMAT has over an area of 370 hectares with unlimited possibilities for future development. The existing factory buildings were quickly too small so that in the autumn of 2006 the construction of a production building of 200 x 33 m was begun.

The official opening of the new building took place to mark the 25th anniversary of the founding of the company on 19-20th May 2007 in Heidenheim.

In Plant II in Heidenheim there are already 60 members of staff working on the production of boilers and machines.
