Earlier this month Peter and Jeremy Slatem visited the AMR factory in France. There they saw the new production line for the Rotary barrel saw. AMR Managing Director Robert Heissler explained that the introduction of the new saw had been so successful and the recent show in Hannover saw orders for over 80 units. The AMR SAT4 rotary saw has exceeded all expectations and with nearly 400 saws already produced and production capacity is being increased because of the huge demand.
Fuelwood (AMR's sole UK distributor) have been working with AMR to produce a machine more suited for the UK market and cut shorter logs down to 20cm (8"). AMR responded to the challenge and now the new UK specification machine is available for demonstration and purchase from Fuelwood. This new machine is set to become the benchmark rotary barrel saw in the UK.
Peter & Jeremy also saw the new AMR Horizontal 9 ton log splitter. With its hydraulic 4 way splitting knife adjustment, this is a lovely machine to use. The simple and effective controls that quickly position the 4 way knife means choosing and producing the correct size of logs is effortless. Its super fast hydraulics mean production is high and also the working height is perfect for positioning the timber.
AMR Sales Manager Julien Kassier also showed Fuelwood the many new product developments in the pipeline including prototypes of new machines that will be introduced later this year. AMR use the latest computer aided design and manufacturing software and it was impressive to see how quickly the talented engineers at AMR can bring out new machines.

Mr Heissler congratulated Fuelwood for the sales they have achieved he commented that Fuelwood have an unprecedented understanding of Firewood machinery and been able to adopt the AMR range quickly.
