New SAT4-700 Circular Drum Saw Firewood Processor from AMR.

French manufacturer AMR has introduced a new technique for the high volume processing of firewood, the SAT4-700 circular saw drum. Newly redesigned, the drum saw now accommodates the UK market’s preference for shorter logs by offering both 20cm (8”) to 40cm (16”) and 25cm (10”) to 50cm (20”) finished length options.

A single operator feeds logs or billets with cross-sectional sizes of up to 240mm and 1200mm length into the four continually rotating housings. The SAT4-700’s 700mm saw blade cuts up to 27 times a minute producing over 1500 sawn logs per hour. Log length options are easily selected by adjusting the notched lever on the side of the drum with no need to change the drum or use tools. Once cut, the sawn firewood is transported via a five metre variable speed conveyor belt for bagging.

The SAT4-700 is available in two power options: Tractor PTO or 3-Phase Electric. When used in conjunction with the AMR 28t horizontal log splitter, which splits larger diameter logs easily into safely stackable metre long billets, the SAT4-700 offers a highly effective, high volume firewood production system.
